This Privacy Policy explains how Tori ("Tori", "we", "us") handles information. Tori is an iPhone focus app that lets you lock distracting apps until you complete a daily flashcard deck. It is operated by Ofek Yahalom (Diamond Calisthenics). By using Tori, you agree to this policy.
Information we do not collect
Tori is built to work without knowing who you are. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials — there is no account.
- Your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
- Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or cross-app tracking data.
- Analytics about how you use the app, where you tap, or how long you study.
- The content of any other app on your device.
Screen Time & Family Controls data
Tori uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks (the Screen Time API) to shield and unshield the apps you select. The following is important to understand:
- iOS requires your explicit authorization before Tori can manage any app. You grant this through the system Family Controls prompt and can revoke it at any time.
- The apps you choose are represented to Tori only as opaque, system-provided tokens. Apple's design means Tori cannot see the names or identities of those apps, and this information stays within Apple's on-device framework.
- All shielding, scheduling, and unlocking happens on your device. This data is never sent to a server, never stored off-device, and never shared with us or any third party.
Information stored on your device
To work, Tori saves the following locally on your iPhone: your flashcard decks and study progress, the set of apps you've chosen to lock, your daily goal, and your app settings. If you have iCloud enabled, this may sync through your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access. You can erase all of it at any time by deleting the app.
No third parties
Tori contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or share data with anyone, because we do not collect it in the first place. We have no access to your information.
Children's privacy
Tori is a general-audience focus tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because Tori collects no personal data at all, no information about a child is ever gathered or transmitted.
Your controls
- Turn it off anytime. Remove Tori's Screen Time permission in iOS Settings → Screen Time, and it can no longer lock any app.
- Delete everything. Deleting the app removes all locally stored Tori data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note it within the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
