Your feed is locked until the deck is done.
Tori shields Instagram, TikTok and YouTube behind your daily Japanese flashcards. Clear the deck, earn ten minutes — then it locks again. Spaced repetition, enforced by your home screen.
no account · no tracking · nothing leaves your iPhone
The feed costs a few minutes of Japanese.
Tori sits between you and the apps you can't put down, and turns the reach-for-your-phone reflex into reps you'll actually remember.
Choose your distractions
Pick the apps that pull you in. Tori shields them with Apple's Screen Time controls — under permission you grant in iOS.
Hit a wall
Open a shielded app and Tori's lock screen shows up where the feed used to be.
Clear today's deck
Finish your daily flashcards, then re-drill the cards you got wrong. Spaced repetition decides what's due.
Earn your window
Done. The app unlocks for ten minutes, then locks again — the next scroll costs another deck.
Miss a card and it comes back sooner. Nail it and it fades.
Every answer reschedules the card. The ones you fumble return in minutes; the ones you own drift days, then weeks away — so your reviews shrink as your memory grows.
Watch the streak do the work.
Every cleared deck is a day defended. Skip the feed, keep the chain.
Your data never leaves your iPhone.
Tori runs entirely on your device. It uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity APIs — which you authorize yourself in iOS — to lock and unlock the apps you choose. We never see any of it.

Does Tori collect my data?
No. Everything Tori does happens on your iPhone. There are no servers collecting your activity, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. The apps you lock and your study progress never leave your device.
Does it really use Apple's Screen Time?
Yes — Tori is built on Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks. iOS asks for your explicit permission before Tori can shield any app, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Does Tori watch what I do in other apps?
No. Tori only knows whether an app you chose is currently shielded or unlocked. It can't read your messages, your content, or your activity inside any other app — Apple's framework only hands it opaque tokens, not identities.
Can I unlock without studying?
Tori never traps you. You can disable its Screen Time permission in iOS Settings whenever you want — it's your phone. Tori just makes the next scroll cost a few minutes of Japanese first.
Is there an account or subscription?
No account. You open the app and it works. Any future paid features will be spelled out in the App Store listing before you buy.
